Leadership Board members must apply and be accepted in order to participate in Board activities. The following criteria will be used to determine CIO eligibility:
- The person must be recognized as the senior IT executive at an institution of higher education and be responsible for operational and strategic planning for IT across the institution.
- The person must either report to the CEO or one level below the CEO.
- Preferably, the person should be part of the executive management team or cabinet.
- The scope of responsibilities should include enterprise IT responsibility for administrative, academic, research, and infrastructure needs.

Annual Board subscription rate is $2,500 and includes registration for all meetings both face-to-face and online (hotel and travel not included); all collaborative Webinars, discussion forums, and other online community tools; full access to LBCIO surveys with custom reports, benchmarking reports, and analysis (including ad-hoc surveys requested by individual members); plus an online archive of all Board activities.
Special note—also included your membership: In order to engage the next generation of IT leaders in higher education, all Board members may bring a protégé to each meeting(both online and face-to-face) at no additional cost.
